McDonald's.....

Silas had been in the Missouri FirstStep
program since he was two. He was not where
he needed to be for talking and communicating.
We had a wonderful Speech Therapist come to our
home every Tuesday to work with Silas for an hour.
Cheryl is a real blessing. She helped Silas to start to
talk and interact with his family. Once he turned 3 he
was no longer able to be in the program. So our last
session with Cheryl we went to McDonald's in Ex. Sp. to
celebrate. He did so good in the Playland. He was parallel
playing with another little boy and even started talking
to him. Wow what a year can do. I would of never thought
he would do that. I am so proud of him and can't thank Cheryl
and the FirstStep program enough. Cheryl will trully be missed
on Tuesday's and everyother day. Thanks!!!

Abbie & Chase come for a visit

Mandy and the kids came over on Sunday to
visit. Abbie and Chase gave Silas a Mr. Potatoe
and an outfit for his birthday. Silas and Abbie
just picked up right where they left off. I think
they will be friends forever. Thank you Mandy
for being such a great friend. We had a great
time with you guys.

Silas & HIS computer..

Silas really enjoys his new laptop computer.
He likes to climb into his sleeping bag and
play. He is learning his ABC's and composing
music. Thank you Papa & Nana, what a
great birthday gift.

The Kids at Papa & Nana's house

Jamie, Nikki & Lainey were at Papa & Nana's
house on Friday, so we went over to visit. Silas and
Lainey were having fun hiding in Nana's windows.
Silas enjoys wrestling with Uncle Jamie. He is going to have
so much fun with a little boy. Can't wait to meet Cooper!!!
You can tell when Silas is getting tired....he want to sit
on your lap and read a book. Nana had her lap full!

Lainey & Silas play with his train set

For christmas Silas got more pieces to go with
his GeoTrac train system. Well it was taken over
his bedroom, so I moved it all to the basement.
Now he can have every piece out and play with
it and I don't have to come behind him and pick it
up, just to go to bed. Lainey really seemed to like
playing with it. They spend most of their time
downstairs playing with it.

The BIG 3 Day!!!!

Silas has a great party. After everyone arrived
we grilled hamburgers & hotdogs. Thank you to
everyone that brought things to help with the meal.
After we ate, Silas opened all his presents. Wow, did
he have a good time. Lainey liked to help too. He got
clothes, shoes, a toy story scooter,
a big tonka dump truck, a sleeping bag, a laptop,
puzzles, bedding, sidewalk chalk, games,
a turtle sandbox and money for his savings account.
Then we sang Happy Birthday to Silas and
he blew out his candle. We had cake, cupcakes
and ice cream. What a blessed day we had. Thank you
to all our family for such a great time.

Decorating Silas's Birthday Cake

Silas picked out a train for his birthday
cake. With grandma Evelyn's help and
encouragement I decided to tackle it myself.
It wasn't as hard as I thought. I had a lot of fun
doing this and can't wait to try others out.

Silas' 3rd Birthday

Today our baby turned 3. Wow!!!
Silas picked Applebee's for dinner. He had
chicken strips and fries. One of his favorites. After
dinner they sang "Happy Birthday" to him and
gave him vanilla ice cream with choc. syrup. Afterwards,
we ran by Wal-Mart to let him pick out one gift. He choose
the camera. When we got home I wrapped it for him
and then let him open it. He has been taken great pics all
evening. We are so blessed to have such a great boy.
Mommy and Daddy love you Silas.

Aiden with his family

We always have such a good time when we
all get together. Aiden was the center of
attention with the grandparents...

Happy Birthday Grandma & Dad

Friday night we celebrated Grandma Provost (87)
and Dad's (56) Birthdays. Mom made a chocolate
cake and ice cream. We had a great time
together. Happy Birthday.

Silas loves his Aunt Lynsey

When Lynsey shows up to any family function
and Silas is there..no one else exsists except
Lynsey. He follows her around everywhere.
Lynsey spoils him with 100% of her attention.
I so hope one day her and Chris decide to start
a family. She will make a wonderful mother.
Thank you Lynsey for being my sister. I love you.

Aiden and Daddy

Aiden loves his daddy. Brian comes
home from work and Aiden just lights up
to see him. He gives the biggest grins to his daddy.

Silas makes butterflies...

Michelle with Parents-as-Teachers came
last week for a visit. Silas looked like such
a big boy with that apron on.
Silas enjoyed making butterflies.
He did such a great job.
