Fun in the sun

This past Friday, Mom and I took the kids to
Crown Center. Brian works at Hallmark downtown.
We stopped by to see where his office is and
then he went with us to take Silas to the
Clifford the big red dog exhibit. I think Silas enjoyed it.
There was a lot of kids & Silas asked to play in the
water... Just so happend I brought his swim suit
& a towel... Somehow I knew he would ask. He is
playing in the fountains across the street from
Crown Center. He was not sure at first, then started
to work his way into the water. Afterwards, we went
out for lunch then to the Independence Center to shop.
Wow, what a busy day, but the kids did great.

Playdate with a school friend...

One of my childhood friends was in town for a
visit. Stephanie and her kids live in Iowa. Stephanie
& I attend Music Camp every year in Maryville, MO.
She sang in our wedding, almost 11 years ago. The kids
played well together & we were able to get caught up.
We watched an old video from 1994. Wow did we laugh.
Wish we could have spent more time. Can't wait to see
them again. Thanks Steph for calling.

Family dinner in Kansas

The Tompkins invited the O'Dell's over for
a family dinner. While Dan & Bonnie Kay and
Jamie & Nikki were in town. We had taco salad &
an assortment of desserts. Thank you for opening
up your home to us. We had a great time. Cousin Katie
is going to make a good mommy one day. Thanks. As
we left to head home, Silas asked "I had so fun, can I see that
girl again soon". We told him we hope so.

Visitors from Virginia....

Uncle Dan & Aunt Bonnie Kay came to Missouri
for a visit. Dan had a business meeting in KC.
It was great to see them.

Toy Story 3 in 3D

The Monday after the 4th, Brian and I took
Silas to his first movie... Toy Story 3 in 3D.
He did GREAT!! I think he liked the popcorn
the most, but overall, we had fun. The kid size
glasses were a little big & we had to keep reminding
Silas to keep them on, but it was a fun day. After we
left he told us " I had so fun. Thank you mommy daddy".
Couldn't ask for a better day! We love you Silas.

4th of July, 2010 at Les & Debra's house

Who is that????

We were outside making homemade ice cream.
Silas played in the sand box & Aiden rolled
back and forth between Papa & Brian and Silas
& Nana. We stayed and watched the fireworks
from their living room. It was raining outside.

A visit with the Great Grandparents...

Last month, we went down to Pomme de Terre lake
to visit with granny and david. David has lung cancer and they
had just got back from Texas. It is so good to see them. Our prayers
are going out to all the doctors and to granny and david as
they continue to go thru this process. David had a procedure a few
weeks ago that seems to be helping. Hope to get down to lake soon.
